If you guys can't tell I am really excited for the summer holidays this year so this time I wanted to share with you some ideal products to take on holidays with you. I didn't want to go with your classic miniatures or sample sizes so I went with multi-use products or products that have a travel friendly packaging.
If you saw my Top 5 High end Summer products you will see that I recommend this for summer in general but Bare Minerals original powder foundation is perfect for taking away. This just happens to be travel sized but it is the powder foundation that I am actually looking at. Unlike a creme foundation this shouldn't be affected by heat. It won't melt and and the consistency shouldn't be affected by the heat like it would a liquid or creme foundation. Also the thick packaging means that it's a lot less likely to break in your bag. Another thing that makes it perfect for travel is that you will only need to bring one brush rather than bringing a powder brush and a foundation brush.
Another product that I mentioned in my Top 5 High drug store products is the Sleek Blusher Blush by 3. This is great for travel because you have a matte, a satin and a shimmer so you have a blush that you can use with any look. You won't have to bring thousands of blushers that take up loads of room. All you have to do is bring one thin palette and you are sorted. Also these colour can double up as eye shadows if you select a palette that you know you will wear on your eyes. They also have a large variety of colours so you choose some that suit your skin and you are set for your whole holiday.
For eye shadow this Maybelline palette is full of wearable neutrals and it also includes a mixture of light and dark shades so there are so many different looks you can create. Also these shades are really good quality and have really long staying power which is amazing for thoose days on holiday where you just don't don't want to spend your time topping up your make up. If you prefer to use more adventurous colours, because lets be honest if there is any time to experiment it is on holiday, I would check out the Two Faced Chocolate bar palette as it has neutrals and a couple of brighter, funner colours. For a more affordable colorful palette try the revolution iconic pro 1.
This colour palette is amazing for travelling because you have all the contour colours so weather you get paler or more tanned this palette is perfect. Also these add colour but add no coverage so they can be added to your foundation to match what ever shade you turn during your holiday. This palette was really expensive and an ebay find.
Next is the Maybelline Master Sculpt. The only problem with this is that I use the dakrest shade yet I am incredibly pale (NC15) so I'm not sure who would use the lighter colour. I love this because it has a bronzer and a super wearable highlighter as well so you have both in one. Even better is that it has a built in mirror and a compartment. Although the brush that comes with it is not amazing it is a good space to store cotton pads or cotton buds.
Next thing I recommend for bringing on holiday is the Rimmel Day 2 Night mascara because, as it says on the tin, you can use it day and night. It can give you so many different looks as you can use the two different wands to create what ever style suits the occasion. This is why I think it's amazing to take away.
The last item I am going to talk about today is the Benefit they're real! push-up eyeliner. Not many people get along with so I would recommend maybe first trying the sample size but I love this. It has a built in nib meaning when you go away you don't need to bring a brush and don't need to worry about cleaning them and not getting fluff from inside your bag.
That is everything I would recommended you take on holiday. Obviously you may want to bring more or less than this but these are just a couple of items that are travel friendly. What iteam would you recommended for anyone who will be traveling?

☼ Top 5 Drugstore Summer Beauty Products ☼
If you haven't seen my top 5 high end products it is linked here. In that post I promised to do a drugstore version so here I am.
Here in the UK we don't get a lot of summer so buying new expensive make up to use for a couple of weeks seams a waste. So here are my top 5 drugstore summer products.
1.
The first item I have is Simple radiance brightening moisturiser. I love this moistener because unlike most glowing products it doesn't leave your skin looking oily and/or have lumps of glitter. It just leaves you with a radiant youthful glow that can be used both with and without make up. The only downside is that it is only SPF 10 so you will have to apply sun screen if you plan to be under the sun for a long time. I like to use this as a primer during the summer time as it gives you a vibrant glow and is free from perfumes and other harmful, artificial ingredients. Another way that I like to use this is to mix in with my foundation to thin it down and make it more lightweight.
This is a very difficult item to find in shops and I struggled to find this online so if you see it grab it. I looked both on the simple, boots and even the Tesco website and it was impossible to find. In the end I had to email Simple and I am currently waiting for a response.
UPDATE - I have received an email in response to my inquiry and this product is actually discontinued. Simple do have another illuminating moisturiser but I am yet to try that.
2.
For bronzer, this summer, I would recommend the Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder because it just gives such a natural sun kissed glow that can complement many skin tones. However if you have darker skin maybe this is not for you but as I am so pale this is amazing. (If you do have darker skin I would recommend looking at the St Tropez bronzer that I mentioned in my Top 5 High End Summer Beauty Products). This Body shop bronzer gives a soft sun kissed glow to the face so it is really good for those days in the summer where you want to wear less make up or have a more bronzed glowy look rather than a contoured look. This gives a very subtle tan to the skin and makes it look as if you have just come back from your holiday. Also as it is from the body shop they guarantee cruelty free make up products that come from fine raw ingredients.
3.
This item is probably my favourite of all the drugstore products. Sleek always kills it with everything but there blushers are particularly amazing. This blusher is the Blush by 3 in Pumpkin. It is an amazing palette because it has a satin, a shimmer and a matte colour so it is perfect for any occasion. This palette is also ideal to take away on holiday because there is a bit of everything for every occasion but they are still bright summer orientated colours. My absolute favourite one is the orange just because it's a lovely bright orange that isn't too red or two brown which I often seem to find. I love this because I can also double this up as eye shadows. The orange is a perfect crease colour for that sunset, glowey eye that people have been going mad for at the moment. If you have a small budget or you just don't want to have too much make up this palette is perfect, you choose your favourite shades, and it's a small and compact set of blushes for every occasion.
4.
Next is a product that is much loved in the beauty community and for a good reason. It's the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette. Again it's another Sleek product because I just love Sleek products. These highlighters are relatively new on the scene and summer is all about that glow so this palette is perfect. It has a warm tone, a cool tone, a more subtle tone and also a cream highlighter so you are covered on all bases. It reflects beautifully off the sun and makes you shine under the summer sun without looking oily and sweaty. Also I like to sweep the orange colour over the lid for an effortless summer glow eye look. Everyone is obsessed with these highlighters at the moment and summer is also all about the glow so this is just perfect for summer 2016. However be warned this is a very pigmented highlighter so if you prefer a more natural glow use a light hand or just use the yellow highlighter (which is the second to the right in the swatch picture).
These are my top 5 recommendations for summer this year. Let me know what you would recommend for me to try and maybe I can write a post about testing your suggestions.

Lastly I would really recommend this Born Lippy Pot lip balm in Satsuma Shimmer by the Body Shop. Dry skin is often associated with winter but our skin can suffer a lot under the sun or due to salt water and chlorinated water. Therefore this lip balm is an essential for the summer. This gorgeous balm gives a light wash of orange with flecks of gold that make the lips look juicy and plump while the thick buttery texture keeps the lips soft and healthy. Admittedly if you have sore, dry lips it is best to stick to good old Vaseline but this lip balm is great to top up during the day so you can still have a glossy pout while looking after your lips. It's sheer colour also means its an easy no fuse lip product to go with if you have busy days planned or you are travelling and you want to look cute but a full face of make up just isn't practical. These are my top 5 recommendations for summer this year. ☼ Top 5 High End Summer Beauty Products ☼
Summer is actually here and I am so excited. This change in season is the perfect excuse to begin our summer shopping. Today I wanted to share with you my top 5 summer beauty products. I will try to include some practical items but also some fun items.
If you wanted to see a drugstore version stay tuned as it is coming soon.
1.
I'm going to start with a base and my favourite for summer is Bare Minerals original powder foundation. Personally I'm either all out or no make up whatsoever during the summer so I love to use this foundation. It gives me a flawless look without being heavy or cakey. Not only does it have SPF 15 in it, which is perfect for the summer, but I can still feel made up without looking cakey or feeling the foundation on my skin and for that reason I think this will be a life saver this summer.
As you can tell mine is a travel sized pot which is really convenient as here in the UK you only need to drastically change your routine if you are going abroad. Therefore the travel sized pot makes it really convenient for the summer holidays. It also means it won't melt or break as easily as cream or liquid foundation would.
2.
Next up I'm going to talk about a bronzer. This item I am going to talk about is a liquid bronzer so you can't actually use it with the powder foundation mentioned above but you can wear it on its own or with other foundations. The Dew the Hoola by Benefit is a matte bronzer that gives you a lovely soft tint. It has the orangey cast of a fake tan so it's perfect to use instead of tanning your face under the dangerous rays of the sun. However this orangey cast also means it can't be used as contour. Just put it on the places where the sun naturally hits: cheekbones, forehead, the tip of chin, bridge of nose or even your collarbones. It gives a very natural sun kissed glow to the skin and makes you look golden.
Again I have this in a travel size as it is perfect to take on holiday. The liquid texture soothes dry summer skin but also works with oily skin, which I have.
3.
Another bronzer which I have been loving is the St Tropez Matte Bronzer. This bronzer is defiantly just a bronzer and I can't stress that enough. It can't be used as a contour colour. However rather than an orange colour, which you can get from many bronzers, it has more of a terracotta colour meaning you're not left looking like an umpa lumpa. It gives a lovely day to day tan but it can also be built up to something more glam for the evening. It's also extremely pigmented so you have to use a very light hand but this also means the pan lasts a long time. This is not a typical brand that I would go to

for make up however I am really impressed with this bronzer and would recommend it.
4.
For eyes, summer always means a golden, bronze goddess look. My favourite shimmery shade - ever is MAC's all that glitters. It gives a lovely shine without being to dramatically sparkly and unwearable. However if you do want to wear it in the evening it can be applied wet to give a more intense, glowing foil esque look. It looks very pink in the pan however when you swatch it you can see that it is actually a rose gold that reflects copper if in the right lighting. It is my summer must have eye shadow as it is so beautiful and delicate and I think everyone needs to own this.
Now this didn't really photograph true to colour so I have included some swatches, that I found on google, which I feel more accurately depict the colour. However to get a true feeling for the colour I really recommended swatching the colour if you pass a MAC shop.
(MAC is one the left)
5.
The last thing I wanted to talk about is another bare minerals product and it's the Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Rockstar. It is an orange toned pink with very fine reflects of pink and gold glitter. I love this lip gloss because it's really hydrating and also smells amazing. It has a sweet soft peppermint smell that is a really refreshing scent, perfect for the summer. I picked this specific colour because orange is always a colour that comes out in the summer and with this lip gloss you can have a light wash of orange without committing fully to the bright orange lipsticks. It also has pink reflects that give it that dimensional juicy lip look that seems to be in fashion during the summer months. I really love this lip gloss because it feels really light weight but also looks beautiful and glossy.
That is everything I recommend for this summer season. I love all these products but as usual opinions will vary from person to person so let me know what 5 high end products you recommend this summer.

Welcome
Hey guy welcome to my blog. I aim to keep this space as a happy cheerful place where we can discuss things as a community, however I am not scared to discuss pressing topic that I feel passionate about. However I will also be sharing with you my passion for beauty and make up related topics.
For my very first post I thought I would talk about something that I believe is very important - Happiness.
We all seem averagely happy most days but what is true happiness? Many people will argue that the true meaning of life is finding happiness; in fact many religions hold finding happiness as one of their key principals. As someone who has had to try very hard to find their own happiness I understands the appeal.
Many people have their own theories of how to achieve happiness, including my self, however who is to really say? In my opinion - YOU. Only you will be able to dictate your own story. Yeah things around you will effect you but it's your choice how you work with it. Everyone may say that following the norm is bad for your self esteem but if you enjoy it why not. If you enjoy wearing 'out here' outfits, why not? Whether you follow the guidelines given to you by life or you create your own the only thing that can stop you from being happy is you. If other people thinking positively of you makes you happy then you do that but you need to stop and think, what does truly make you happy.
I wanted to share with you what I believe is the way to find happiness however saying all of this is slightly contradictory. After telling you that you should decide your own happiness I tell you how to achieve happiness.
You can take my advice into consideration but you need to decide what to do to achieve your happiness. If I had to sum up my too tips I would say:

- Find what make you happy and do that (as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else)
- Happiness is not instant so keep working at it and don't give up when you don't find your happiness straight away.
- And lastly, follow your heart even if it goes against others opinion (Unless it's illegal. Sorry, murder is probably always the wrong thong to do)
That's all I have got for today. Let me know down bellow what make you happy and your top tips to finding happiness..
